Looking ahead

There's plenty to look forward to as the year draws on. Our next concert brings two French choral masterpieces to Bude Methodist Church on Saturday 28 November 2026: Poulenc's sparkling Gloria, paired with Fauré's ever-popular Requiem and his luminous early gem, the Cantique de Jean Racine. Hard on its heels comes our Christmas Carol Concert on Friday 4 December — a warm and festive way to close the year.

And looking further into 2027, we're thrilled to be hosting a Come and Sing! workshop with acclaimed composer Bob Chilcott in Launceston on Saturday 24 April. It promises to be a real highlight of our calendar — more details will follow soon.

An Evening of Operatic Delights

This June brought a wonderful evening of Operatic Delights, as we joined forces with Intimate Opera Cornwall for a programme brimming with favourites — music by Mozart, Handel, Purcell, Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Verdi and more. From the stirring Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves to the soaring Nessun dorma, the evening gathered up some of opera's best-loved moments, with our chorus singing alongside professional soloists under the baton of John Hobbs.

Admission was free with donations warmly received, and we're delighted to have raised funds for Sound Waves South West, the music and music therapy charity. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who came along and gave so generously.

A summer to remember

Thank you, too, to everyone who joined us for our Summer social. It was great fun and a lovely way to round off the season together — good company, good music, and a fitting close to a busy year of singing.
